Claims Supervisor

Job Summary

To oversee daily claims operations, the remote Claims Supervisor will manage a team of Claims Analysts, ensuring compliance with quality standards, turnaround times, and regulatory requirements while developing and implementing departmental policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Plans and assigns work, monitors department workload, and adjusts as necessary to meet turnaround times
• Analyzes claims processing metrics and develops corrective action plans to address identified issues
• Facilitates resolution of complex claims and appeals, while preparing for and participating in regulatory audits

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience as a claims supervisor or two years as a claims lead in healthcare
• In-depth knowledge of procedure coding, medical terminology, and claims processing systems
• Basic knowledge of audit processes and claims administration metrics
• Ability to develop and deliver effective training materials
