Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clearance Specialist to work remotely in the Central Standard Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and documenting insurance coverage
• Calculate estimated patient financial responsibilities and secure prior authorizations
• Communicate with patients and other stakeholders regarding referral status and coverage updates

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of home infusion specialty pharmacy and/or medical intake/reimbursement experience preferred
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
