Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clearance Specialist to support Specialty Infusion patients in a fully remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and documenting coverage for medications and services
• Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility and secure prior authorization from payers
• Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding referral status and coverage updates

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience in home infusion specialty pharmacy or medical intake/reimbursement preferred
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
• Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
