Clearance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clearance Specialist to support their Specialty Infusion Pharmacy remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform benefit verification of patient insurance plans and document coverage details
• Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility based on benefit verification
• Initiate and secure prior authorization and communicate with patients and referral sources regarding updates

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of home infusion specialty pharmacy intake/reimbursement experience
• Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursement guidelines
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
