Clinical Assistant

Job Summary

Supporting BlueCare Plus Clinical Review Managers, the full-time remote Clinical Assistant will manage provider inquiries, assist with authorization requests, and ensure effective coordination of care while working rotating shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Screen and direct incoming calls and faxes related to Utilization Management and Care Management
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, maintaining departmental goals and handling assigned projects
• Document and enter data accurately for organization determinations and prior authorizations

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of customer service experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS)
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
