Clinical Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Auditor-IBR.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze complex inpatient and outpatient charges for billing abnormalities
• Document audit results and assist management with departmental operations
• Identify recovery opportunities and research to control overpayments

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with completion of medical license or coding certification; at least 5 years of coding experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical procedure billing, auditing, and reimbursement
• Extensive knowledge of inpatient/outpatient hospital billing and coding standards
• Knowledge of payer reimbursement policies and applicable regulations
• Experience with health information management in a healthcare setting preferred
