A company is looking for a Clinical Coding Appeals Author.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret medical records to appeal denied and underpaid claims
• Apply clinical judgment for DRG downgrades and draft well-written appeal letters
• Handle rush and high balance cases, ensuring timely completion of appeals

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN or PA license
• Active AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification
• 2+ years of experience in medical record reviews/audits
• Experience with electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of HIPAA laws and requirements
