Clinical Communications Coordinator

Job Summary

To facilitate effective communication in a remote setting, the part-time Clinical Communications Coordinator will relay urgent and non-urgent medical results between radiologists, referring physicians, and healthcare providers while ensuring HIPAA compliance and supporting various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Relay urgent and non-urgent medical results across multiple hospital systems
• Serve as a key point of contact to resolve communication issues and support healthcare professionals
• Facilitate timely call transfers and ensure critical findings are communicated to the appropriate healthcare professionals

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent healthcare experience preferred; Bachelor's degree highly preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of radiology technology experience with strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage priorities with a high sense of urgency
