Job Summary
To facilitate effective communication in a remote setting, the part-time Clinical Communications Coordinator will relay urgent and non-urgent medical results between radiologists, referring physicians, and healthcare providers while ensuring HIPAA compliance and supporting various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Relay urgent and non-urgent medical results across multiple hospital systems
- Serve as a key point of contact to resolve communication issues and support healthcare professionals
- Facilitate timely call transfers and ensure critical findings are communicated to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent healthcare experience preferred; Bachelor's degree highly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of radiology technology experience with strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage priorities with a high sense of urgency
