Clinical Communications Coordinator

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Sr Clinical Communications Coordinator will manage the relay of urgent and non-urgent medical results between radiologists, referring physicians, and healthcare providers while ensuring HIPAA compliance and resolving communication issues.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate timely communication of critical findings and medical results across multiple hospital systems
• Serve as a key point of contact for resolving communication issues among patients, physicians, technologists, and radiologists
• Ensure efficient call transfers and direct communication between referring physicians and radiologists as needed

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent healthcare experience preferred; Bachelor's degree highly preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of radiology technology experience with strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage priorities with a high sense of urgency
