Clinical Data Abstractor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Data Abstractor - PRN.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstract key clinical data from medical records into the Patient's EHR and/or Provider forms
• Adhere to comprehensive abstraction process guidelines and maintain a 95% accuracy rate
• Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, and hospital staff regarding clinical data abstraction issues

Required Qualifications and Education

• Previous experience with electronic medical records (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
• Associate degree from an AHIMA-accredited HIM program or accredited Nursing program, or relevant certification
• At least one year of clinical experience in an inpatient or outpatient setting or medical records department
• Passing grade in the Annual Introductory HIPAA examination
• One or more applicable credentials (e.g., MA, LPN, RN, CPC)
