Clinical Data Abstractor
Job Summary
To support data management initiatives, the full-time Clinical Data Abstractor will analyze clinical data, identify trends, and ensure accurate abstraction from medical records while working remotely during standard business hours.
Key responsibilities
- Disseminates data from medical records in compliance with governing body rules and protocols
- Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to maintain data accuracy and inter-rater reliability
- Identifies process improvements and resolves clinical data discrepancies or outliers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
- One year of experience in healthcare or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with EPIC
- Familiarity with stroke patients and data abstraction
- Ability to pass required certification exams for specific abstractions
