Clinical Data Specialist

Job Summary

Assisting in the review of patient information and medical records, the full-time Clinical Data Specialist will work remotely to input patient demographics, medical histories, and outcomes into registry software while supporting coding and classification activities.

Key responsibilities

• Review and abstract clinical data from medical records into registry software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with guidelines
• Gather relevant patient data to support coding and classification activities, assisting in case inclusion/exclusion
• Provide administrative support to the registry department and collaborate with team members to maintain data confidentiality

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited school or 4 years of related work experience; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and registry codes
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems
• Experience with clinical registries and research methodologies
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
