Clinical Director of Payer Consulting

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Clinical Director of Payer Consulting will manage drug information and pharmacotherapy expertise for clients, providing insights on payer behaviors and formulary management across various therapeutic areas.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide expert opinions on the clinical value of drugs to payers and their management strategies
• Conduct drug information research to understand payer perceptions of new drugs and indications
• Prepare presentations and documents summarizing commercial viability and payer coverage practices for new business development assets

Required qualifications:

• PharmD degree or equivalent (e.g., BS pharmacy with advanced degree)
• 5 to 10 years of experience in a managerial drug information position with a payer, focusing on formulary development and coverage management
• Comprehensive understanding of the payer regulatory landscape in Commercial and Medicare
• Experience in developing drug monographs, class reviews, and clinical policies
• Ability to facilitate payer advisory boards and collaborate with clinical experts
