Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist to analyze and enhance medical record documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret medical record documentation to improve quality and accuracy
• Formulate appropriate physician queries to enhance clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to promote quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

• CCDS or CDIP certification required (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
• RN or BSN preferred but not mandatory
• Minimum of 2-3 years of CDI experience
• Basic proficiency with email, MS Office, and remote connectivity tools
• Familiarity with video conferencing technology such as MS Teams or Zoom
