Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Associate Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform concurrent and retrospective chart reviews to enhance clinical documentation completeness
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding trends and Medicare regulations related to diagnosis coding
• Communicate with providers to clarify documentation requirements and improve clinical documentation quality

Required Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Registered Nurse with 3+ years of clinical acute care hospital or care coordination experience, or Medical Graduate with CDI experience
• Understanding of clinical medicine, pathophysiology, and pharmacology
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work full-time with flexibility for 8-hour shift schedules and occasional overtime
