Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective chart reviews to enhance clinical documentation completeness
• Communicate with providers to clarify documentation requirements and obtain necessary specificity
• Utilize Optum CDI 3D Technology for documentation and engage with HIM Coding Professionals for collaboration

Required Qualifications

• BSN required if possessing an RN license
• CCDS or CDIP certification or willingness to obtain within 6 to 12 months
• 5+ years of acute care hospital clinical RN experience or Medical Graduate with CDI experience and certification
• 3+ years of CDI experience in an acute care hospital setting
