Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

Job Summary

To support clinical excellence, the fully remote Clinical Documentation Medical Professional (CDMP) will perform detailed inpatient chart reviews, collaborate with physicians and coding teams, and lead documentation improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records
• Identify opportunities for improved physician documentation and clarification
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience required
• Education as a Foreign or Domestic Medical School Graduate, RN Program graduate, or Physician Assistant Program graduate
• Strong understanding of MS-DRG/APR-DRG methodologies and Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS)
• Excellent communication and physician collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
