Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze medical records and validate clinical evidence for accurate documentation and coding
• Provide feedback to healthcare providers on required documentation for suspected HCC's
• Stay up-to-date with healthcare regulations and guidelines to ensure documentation compliance

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years clinical coding experience for risk adjustment
• In-depth knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD10 and HCC Models)
• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records systems
• Experience with RADV, OIG, and CDI preferred
• Graduate from an approved nursing program or Registered Health Information Technician with coding certification
