Clinical Documentation Integrity Lead

Job Summary

To support clinical operations, the full-time remote Clinical Documentation Integrity Lead will manage daily workflow processes for the CDI team, facilitate collaboration between departments, and oversee operational tasks in the absence of the CDI Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for daily workflow processes and adjustments for the CDI team
• Facilitates collaborative efforts between CDI, HIM, and clinical teams to support program goals
• Presents CDI performance metrics and education at facility meetings as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of CDI experience required; management/leadership experience preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CDIP, CCDS, or other qualified Clinical Documentation Integrity professional required
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, EMR applications, and CDI/coding software
• CCDS or CDIP certification required, with a requirement to obtain within 6 months for highly qualified candidates
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently
