Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) Specialist - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive reviews of medical records to identify opportunities for documentation clarification
• Prepares compliant queries for physicians and tracks responses to ensure accurate coding and reimbursement
• Collaborates with coding teams and participates in departmental committees to enhance documentation practices

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN or bachelor's degree in a health-related field
• Active RN, MD, or MD Equivalent (MBBS) license
• 2-4 years of acute care inpatient hospital coding or CDI experience
• Familiarity with encoder and DRG assignment
• Current knowledge of official coding guidelines and coding clinics
