Clinical Documentation Manager

Job Summary

To enhance clinical documentation practices, the full-time Clinical Documentation Manager will perform concurrent and retrospective medical record reviews, educate providers on documentation accuracy, and collaborate with coding professionals, all within a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate and educate providers on accurate clinical documentation practices
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve documentation issues and ensure accurate representation of patient care
• Review and audit medical records for correct coding and provide ongoing training to coding staff

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of coder training and/or chart auditing experience
• Coding certification is required
• Associate or bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
• Extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding guidelines
• Experience as a clinical nurse or Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist is preferred
