Job Summary
To enhance clinical documentation quality across multiple acute care hospitals, the full-time Clinical Documentation Quality Coordinator will perform quality reviews on medical records, validate coding accuracy, and provide education to clinical staff, all while working remotely during daytime hours.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct quality reviews of inpatient records to ensure accurate DRG assignment and compliance with documentation standards
- Analyze coding trends and provide feedback to improve documentation and coding practices
- Educate and mentor new employees and CDI staff on documentation improvement and coding processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Information Systems, or a related field (preferred)
- Registered Health Information Administrator or Registered Health Information Technician certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in an acute care hospital or similar setting
- Certified Coding Specialist Certification (CCS, CCS-P) required
