Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Improve the quality and completeness of clinical documentation in the legal medical record
Facilitate documentation through interaction with physicians, HIM, and coding staff for optimal reimbursement
Educate physicians on clinical documentation needs and coding opportunities

Required Qualifications

Must possess a CCDS or CDIP credential
Must have at least one of the following: RN license, RHIA, RHIT, or CCS credential
3+ years of Acute Care (inpatient) Clinical Documentation Specialist experience
