Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of clinical documentation through review and education
• Conduct concurrent reviews of patient health records to assess documentation quality
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance documentation practices and resolve discrepancies

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Associate/Diploma Degree in Nursing or Health Information Technology, or an advanced nursing degree
• Preferred certifications include RN License, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCDS, or CDIP
• Experience in Critical Care, Medical or Surgical Inpatient Care Nursing, or as an inpatient coder is preferred
• Proficiency in using standard desktop and Windows-based computer systems
• Ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a healthcare environment
