Job Summary
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist I.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide education to providers and clinicians to ensure accurate clinical documentation
- Review medical records for correct DRG, APC, and HCC assignment, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Conduct reviews in various outpatient settings and maintain accurate records of review and query activity
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Five years of experience as a clinical nurse or inpatient/outpatient coder, or two years as a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
- Associate's Degree in a healthcare-related field (preferred)
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the current state of employment (preferred)
- ICD10-CM, CPT, HCC, and HCPCS coding experience (preferred)
