Clinical Documentation Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in clinical documentation improvement initiatives at the organizational level
• Communicate with physicians regarding missing or unclear medical record documentation
• Evaluate daily clinical documentation and prepare data for presentations to healthcare providers

Required Qualifications:

• Three years of clinical acute care nursing experience or completion of Health Records Administration program with three years of relevant experience
• Prior CDI work experience preferred
• Knowledge of computer technology and quality assurance activities preferred
• Professional communication skills with healthcare staff and providers required
• Relevant licensure or certifications such as CCS, RN, or RHIT required
