Clinical Documentation Specialist

Job Summary

To support clinical excellence, the fully remote Clinical Documentation Medical Professional (CDMP) will conduct inpatient chart reviews, collaborate with healthcare providers, and lead documentation improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concurrent and retrospective reviews of inpatient medical records
• Identify opportunities for improved physician documentation and clarification
• Collaborate with physicians and coding professionals to ensure accurate MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience required
• Education as a Foreign or Domestic Medical School Graduate, RN Program graduate, or Physician Assistant Program graduate
• Strong understanding of MS-DRG/APR-DRG methodologies and Clinical documentation standards
• Excellent communication and physician collaboration skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
