Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Clinical Documentation Specialist will collaborate with various teams to enhance compliance in clinical documentation through expert review and assessment of chronic conditions and coding guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Review upcoming visits to validate chronic conditions and identify potential suspect conditions for provider assessment
- Utilize various systems to support the closure of risk adjustment gaps through clinical data analysis
- Serve as a subject matter expert on HCC documentation requirements and ICD-10-CM coding guidelines while fostering relationships with medical providers
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of overall experience in healthcare or clinical documentation
- 3+ years of specific experience in Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI)
- Understanding of Medicaid documentation requirements is a plus
