A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist II.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts concurrent documentation reviews of inpatient records to clarify diagnoses and procedures
• Educates healthcare staff on the importance of accurate clinical documentation to enhance coding specificity
• Ensures compliance with coding guidelines and participates in ongoing education to maintain coding excellence

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, AHIMA accredited school, or international medical school
• 2 to 5 years of Clinical Documentation Specialist experience and 2 years of recent acute care experience
• Certifications required: RN, LVN, LPN, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, MD, DO, PA, or NP
• Knowledge of care delivery documentation systems and MSDRGs
• Computer skills and ability to work independently in a time-oriented environment
