Job Summary
Clinical Documentation Supervisor supervises the daily operations of the Clinical Documentation Integrity program in a full-time remote position, overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with documentation standards, and facilitating training and performance improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the Clinical Documentation Integrity team, ensuring goals and compliance standards are met
- Provide training and education to Clinical Documentation Specialists and collaborate with healthcare teams to improve clinical documentation
- Monitor quality and productivity metrics, assist in policy development, and facilitate performance improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare related field, Nursing, or equivalent experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License or other relevant certifications (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, etc.)
- Minimum of five years of experience in hospital clinical documentation integrity programs
- Two or more years of supervisory experience in clinical documentation integrity
- Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, coding guidelines, and DRG reimbursement
