Job Summary

Clinical Documentation Supervisor supervises the daily operations of the Clinical Documentation Integrity program in a full-time remote position, overseeing staff, ensuring compliance with documentation standards, and facilitating training and performance improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of the Clinical Documentation Integrity team, ensuring goals and compliance standards are met
  • Provide training and education to Clinical Documentation Specialists and collaborate with healthcare teams to improve clinical documentation
  • Monitor quality and productivity metrics, assist in policy development, and facilitate performance improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare related field, Nursing, or equivalent experience
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License or other relevant certifications (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, etc.)
  • Minimum of five years of experience in hospital clinical documentation integrity programs
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience in clinical documentation integrity
  • Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, coding guidelines, and DRG reimbursement
