Job Summary
Analyzing clinical genetics data and curating variants, the full-time Clinical Genomic Scientist will summarize findings for clinical reports while working remotely and supporting laboratory directors and R&D with technology validation.
Key responsibilities
- Curate variants, genes, and gene-disease correlations following ACMG guidelines
- Analyze clinical genomics data and select variants for curation and confirmation
- Draft clinical reports, validate tests, and present findings while monitoring test turnaround time
Required qualifications
- PhD or MD in clinical medicine, genetics, molecular biology, or equivalent; Master's degree with relevant experience may be considered
- 2-4 years of experience in clinical genomics or related fields
- Thorough understanding of ACMG variant curation guidelines
- Knowledge of genomic variation and its correlation with human disease
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
