Clinical Genomic Scientist II

Job Summary

To support a growing clinical laboratory, the full-time Clinical Genomic Scientist II will interpret diagnostic test results, review relevant medical literature, and assist in variant classification while working remotely in the USA.

Key responsibilities:

• Interpret clinical diagnostic testing results in accordance with established SOPs
• Independently draft clear and accurate clinical testing results and provide input on reporting protocols
• Maintain expertise in genomic technologies and assist in technical troubleshooting as needed

Required qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related scientific field, or MS in Genetic Counseling or similar fields
• 2+ years of experience in genetics literature review, variant classification, or clinical report drafting
• Thorough knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics
• Familiarity with diagnostic testing methodologies, including next-generation sequencing and Sanger sequencing
• Strong working knowledge of human genetics and diagnostic genetic testing concepts
