Clinical Genomic Specialist

Job Summary

To support clinical whole genome sequencing for Proactive and Rare Disease products, the remote Clinical Genomic Specialist will review clinical documentation, draft clinical reports, and provide genomic testing expertise to internal teams while collaborating cross-functionally on various projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and extract HPO terms for interpretation and reporting
• Draft clinical reports and perform variant assessment for whole genome sequencing products
• Provide genomic testing support to internal teams and develop patient-facing educational materials

Required qualifications

• MS in Genetic Counseling from an accredited program and ABGC/ABMG certification or PhD with clinical diagnostic experience
• 1-3 years of clinical genetics experience
• Laboratory genetics experience in the exome/genome space preferred
• Strong working knowledge of human genetics and diagnostic genetic testing concepts
• Excellent writing and editing skills for translating complex scientific concepts
