Clinical Genomics Scientist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Clinical Genomics Scientist will interpret diagnostic test results, review relevant medical literature, and apply variant classification guidelines to ensure quality and timely report generation.

Key responsibilities

• Attend trainings for reporting protocols specific to the position
• Interpret clinical diagnostic testing results in accordance with established SOPs
• Become knowledgeable in information technology systems relevant to the role

Required qualifications

• MS in Genetic Counseling or MS in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a similar field
• Thorough knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics
• Ability to understand and evaluate genetic data and literature
• Familiarity with diagnostic testing methodologies, including next-generation sequencing and microarray
• New genetic counseling MS graduates are qualified
