Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Clinical Genomics Scientist will interpret diagnostic test results, review relevant medical literature, and apply variant classification guidelines to ensure quality and timely report generation.
Key responsibilities
- Attend trainings for reporting protocols specific to the position
- Interpret clinical diagnostic testing results in accordance with established SOPs
- Become knowledgeable in information technology systems relevant to the role
Required qualifications
- MS in Genetic Counseling or MS in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a similar field
- Thorough knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics
- Ability to understand and evaluate genetic data and literature
- Familiarity with diagnostic testing methodologies, including next-generation sequencing and microarray
- New genetic counseling MS graduates are qualified
