Clinical Informatics Consultant

Job Summary

Supporting the clinical business intelligence team, the contractor Clinical Informatics Data Consultant will leverage 3+ years of experience in clinical informatics and healthcare data analysis to translate clinical concepts into structured code logic while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development of clinical measures and quality algorithms using claims and clinical quality data
• Review and validate clinical code sets to ensure appropriateness and completeness for intended use cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document coding logic and support clinical review workflows

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in clinical informatics, healthcare claims analytics, or clinical coding
• Strong knowledge of clinical code sets, including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10
• Experience with claims data and clinical quality data for reporting and algorithm development
• Coding certification or related credential (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT)
• Clinical background or licensure (e.g., RN, NP, PA, MD/DO)
