Clinical Informatics Researcher

Job Summary

To support a growing data team, the full-time Clinical Informatics Researcher will interpret and analyze clinical data from hospital systems, develop data models representing patient healthcare journeys, and advise on clinical research projects, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Query complex health data sources to identify and map data tables and their contents
• Develop Dandelion data models by reconciling datasets and mapping data fields to standardized clinical ontologies
• Advise on the development of clinical research studies, including study design and dataset definition

Required qualifications

• Healthcare provider (MD, DO, or NP) preferred; or M.S. or PhD in a relevant clinical field
• Clinical informatics certification or at least two years of direct clinical informatics experience
• Minimum of two years of clinical practice experience with an understanding of clinical workflows
• At least one year of experience in clinical research and querying EHR data, with fluency in SQL required
• Strong expertise in clinical terminologies, ontologies, and data standards like LOINC and SNOMED
