Clinical Lab Operator

Job Summary

Assisting in the analysis of specimens, the part-time Clinical Lab Operator will perform testing of patient samples, maintain laboratory equipment, and support new team members while adhering to good laboratory practices in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in testing patient samples according to standard operating procedures
• Maintain equipment and instruments in good operating condition, including calibration and inventory management
• Provide guidance to new team members and participate in continuous improvement projects

Required qualifications

• BS/BA in a biological science or a related field
• 0-2 years of industry-related experience
• Ability to discern color visually or evaluate cellular morphology when applicable
• Completion of training related to HIPAA/PHI privacy within the first 30 days of hire
• Must pass a post-offer criminal background check
