Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluates and approves prior authorization pharmacy requests using clinical criteria
Communicates decisions and alternative options to prescribers
Monitors staffing and provides training and mentorship to team members

Required Qualifications:

Active pharmacy technician licensure or registration
Specialty or retail pharmacy industry experience
In-depth knowledge of specialty injectable prescription drugs and health plan formulary management
Proficiency in pharmacy computerized systems and software applications
Minimum of 2 years dispensing or retail experience
