Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Academic Department Chair for the Clinical Psychology program, this role will guide the program through the self-study process and advance its pursuit of APA accreditation while overseeing curriculum development, supervising faculty, managing administrative tasks, and teaching specific courses in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to achieve excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service activities within the academic department
  • Oversee faculty workload planning, monitor course engagement, and ensure quality instruction based on institutional learning objectives
  • Coordinate curricular changes, support program reviews, and facilitate the recruitment and evaluation of faculty
Required qualifications:
  • Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of combined faculty and administrative experience, including leadership within a doctoral-level program
  • Direct experience leading an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral program
  • License or certification in the appropriate discipline (e.g., clinical psychology, counseling)
  • Experience interfacing with institutional accreditors and state regulatory/licensure bodies
