Clinical Psychology Department Chair

Job Summary

To advance the Clinical Psychology program's pursuit of APA accreditation, the full-time remote Clinical Psychology Department Chair will oversee curriculum development, manage faculty and student progress, and lead departmental administrative tasks while fostering excellence in scholarship and teaching.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to enhance scholarship, teaching, and service activities within the department
• Oversee faculty workload planning and monitor course engagement to ensure quality instruction
• Coordinate educational programs, manage the department's budget, and facilitate recruitment efforts for faculty

Required qualifications:

• Doctorate (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of combined faculty and administrative experience, including leadership in a doctoral-level program
• Direct experience leading an APA accredited doctoral program
• License or certification in the appropriate discipline (e.g., clinical psychology, counseling)
• Experience interfacing with institutional accreditors and state regulatory bodies
