Clinical Referral Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinical Referral Specialist I with Epic specialty scheduling experience highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate care for referral orders and facilitate access to providers and medical services
• Schedule appointments, including complex specialty appointments, and communicate pre and post-appointment instructions to patients
• Document all scheduling attempts in the patient's electronic health record and notify providers of any changes

Required Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in a medical group with a focus on scheduling specialty services
• Experience with Epic specialty scheduling in areas such as Orthopedics, Cardiology, and others is highly preferred
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer requirements
• Proficiency in patient-focused software systems and Microsoft Office
