Clinical Research Project Director

Job Summary

Leading the project management function for clinical trials, the full-time remote Clinical Research Project Director will oversee a team responsible for executing decentralized and hybrid trial designs, ensuring studies are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards while partnering with cross-functional leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the operational execution of clinical trials through integrated site networks and decentralized trial models
• Develop and maintain project plans, setting clear goals and managing resources to ensure timely delivery of studies
• Serve as a senior escalation point for clients and internal stakeholders, resolving issues and driving corrective action plans as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life science, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum of eight years of clinical research or project management experience, including four years leading teams
• Direct experience with decentralized, hybrid, or site-network-based clinical trials strongly preferred
• Deep knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ICH guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems such as Salesforce
