Job Summary
To enhance the capabilities of clinical audit staff, the remote Clinical RN Training Specialist will design, develop, and deliver specialized training programs focused on Inpatient Psychiatric Facility (IPF) and Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) claims, ensuring measurable improvements in auditor accuracy and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain comprehensive training curricula for clinical audit nurses covering IPF and IRF claim review and documentation requirements
- Plan and deliver new hire training and ongoing education in various formats while tracking training effectiveness and performance metrics
- Serve as the primary subject matter authority for IPF and IRF audit training, ensuring compliance with current regulations and documentation standards
Required Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted nursing license in good standing
- AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Education, or a related field
- 3+ years of direct experience performing medical record audits in IPF and/or IRF claims
- 3+ years of experience developing and delivering clinical or healthcare training programs with documented outcomes
