Job Summary
Providing comprehensive clinical scheduling and high-level administrative support, the full-time Clinical Secretary will manage a high volume of incoming calls, assess inquiries, and ensure prompt service to patients and providers while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Handles incoming calls, assesses urgency, and directs callers appropriately while providing specialized information related to policies and services
- Schedules patient appointments, resolves conflicts, and coordinates surgical procedures, ensuring accurate patient information and necessary paperwork
- Maintains clinical and patient statistical data, compiles reports, and manages filing systems, ensuring efficient office operations
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, including two years in a similar role, or an Associate degree with two years of experience
- Proficiency in EPIC or similar EMR systems for scheduling and patient information management
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills and professional telephone etiquette
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use independent judgment and critical thinking to manage patient interactions effectively
