Job Summary
Providing comprehensive clinical scheduling and high-level administrative support, the full-time Clinical Secretary will manage a high volume of incoming calls and faxes, assess inquiries, and ensure prompt service to patients and providers using the EPIC scheduling system, all in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls, assess urgency, and direct callers to appropriate personnel while providing assistance to other receptionists
- Schedule patient appointments, resolve scheduling conflicts, and notify patients of changes or cancellations
- Maintain accurate patient records, manage billing processes, and coordinate departmental meetings and events
Required qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, including two years in a similar role, or an Associate degree with two years of related experience
- Proficiency in EPIC or similar EMR systems for scheduling and patient information management
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills with professional telephone etiquette
- Ability to use sound independent judgment and critical thinking in managing patient interactions
