Clinical Strategic Sourcing Director

Job Summary

Leading strategic sourcing and procurement activities for Clinical Development, the full-time Clinical Strategic Sourcing Director will develop category strategies, negotiate supplier contracts, and ensure high-quality services while aligning with organizational goals.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and execute category strategies for supplier identification, market analysis, and performance evaluation
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, negotiating contracts to support business objectives
• Identify value-creation opportunities through innovative sourcing models and ensure compliance with quality and ethical standards

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related discipline; advanced degree or professional certification preferred
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive procurement experience, including at least 5 years in an R&D Procurement leadership role
• Proven expertise in procurement category management and strategic sourcing within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries
• Strong leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed environment
• Demonstrated capability in driving process improvements and leveraging technology to enhance procurement performance
