Clinician Documentation Auditor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Clinician Documentation Auditor & Educator.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts chart reviews and communicates with clinicians to ensure accurate clinical documentation
• Identifies gaps in medical records and queries clinicians for complete documentation
• Collaborates with coding staff and other educators to develop training based on documentation trends

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• RN, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, or CCS-P with CPMA or other relevant accreditation required
• At least three years of coding experience or equivalent training/education
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications
