Job Summary

Collaborating with clinicians to enhance documentation practices, the full-time remote Clinician Documentation Educator will provide tailored education, monitor documentation performance, and ensure compliance with reimbursement guidelines to support excellent patient care.

Key responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and delivers documentation education to new and existing clinicians, focusing on targeted strategies for improvement
  • Reviews clinician documentation to identify trends and compliance issues, providing individualized feedback aligned with billing and coding requirements
  • Communicates updates on documentation guidelines and collaborates with hospital personnel to support documentation needs for billing operations
Required qualifications:
  • Clinical expertise, preferably in an ED and/or HM setting, with nursing experience desired
  • Proven experience with CPT and ICD-10 coding; AAPC and CPC certifications preferred
  • Background in Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance is beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis
  • Excellent presentation and organizational skills, with proficiency in computer applications such as Excel and PowerPoint
