Closing Attorney

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Closing Attorney will review, prepare, and facilitate nationwide legal closings of various commercial loan transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and managing a pipeline of loan transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyze loan documentation to ensure compliance with bank policies and legal requirements
• Coordinate and oversee loan closings, ensuring all documents are properly executed and recorded
• Serve as the primary legal contact throughout the closing process, providing guidance and status updates to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in at least one state bar and in good standing
• 3-5 years of experience in commercial lending, SBA lending, or secured lending
• Strong understanding of SBA lending requirements and commercial loan documentation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and loan origination/document preparation systems
