Cloud Administrator Incident Response Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting enterprise monitoring operations and incident response activities, the full-time remote Sys/Cloud Admin/Incident Response Engineer will manage cloud services and ensure system reliability for a mission-critical platform within the Department of Veterans Affairs environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor cloud and platform services to maintain system health and performance
• Perform initial triage of incidents, document impacts, and execute escalation procedures for mission-critical services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide updates on incident status and support operational coordination

Required qualifications

• Experience in cloud administration and incident response in a large-scale enterprise environment
• Proficiency with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
• Familiarity with incident response protocols and service restoration procedures
• Ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Willingness to participate in on-call or after-hours support as needed
